|
|
The submissions page is now able to properly accept 'foreign' submissions - i.e. those in KPH.
Please enter the speed in the LOCAL VALUE - i.e. if it is 70mph then enter '70' if it is 70kph then, again, enter '70'. The correct suffix for that particular country will be added when the camera submission is reviewed.
You may, if you wish, include country and/or speed information in the comments field as well, for example: 'from holiday in france, in kph'.
We are aiming to improve our foreign data and this is the first step in this long process.
Thanks

I submitted a speed carmera location in CH almost one month ago.
It has been deleted from my account and my account has not been credited. What happened? |

GPS devices with speed camera warnings are banned from Switzerland.
The police may destroy them. _________________ Andy

Free subscriptions are only given once a static camera has been verified.

|
|
I went to France this summer with the latest European speed cameras database loaded into my Navman.
I found that most of the cameras that I saw didn't appear to be in the database. I'm afraid I couldn't log the positions as I was too busy driving. This isn't a complaint just an observation.
I use the UK speed camera database and find it very accurate. Keep up the good work. |

Referring back to t-rex's complaint.
Is there a timely, effective process for verifying foreign cameras?
I have several from France, fixed and mobile, but is there any point in submitting them? |

Of course, IF you wish to help and contribute to the database. |

the same as uk ones.
a verifier checks it. and/or a certain number of further submissions pointing to the same area/camera type/speed are received

At present continental submissions are taking longer to verify but they are being verified, we won't allow any locations to be published until they have been verified.
It's not possible to state how long verification takes. _________________ Darren Griffin |
