Yesterday I travelled from Slough to Middlesbrough using the M1 from the M25 Junction upto the M18 junction. On two occasions my F30 instructed me to leave the M1 at a junction go around the roundabout and back on at the same junction. This only happened Northbound on the way back it was fine.

I thought maybe it was somehow connected to the TMC but there were no traffic incidents reported for these areas and even if there was I am not set for auto divert.

Anybody come across this problem before.

On the plus side the TMC lock appeared to stay with me for both the Northbound and Southbound trips which I was surprised about based on a lot of negative comments about TMC. The roads were quiet so can't vouch for the accuracy of the information as there was nothing to worry about. I use the Maplin external antenna and not the Navman internal.

Ken

This is probably a mapping error, I have seen the same problem on other devices - it only becomes annoying when you actually follow what it wants you to do, if you can read the road and know its going to put you back on the motorway simply ignore what it is telling you to do - it will catch up.

As for RDS-TMC the Navman is a decent receiver, the addition of an external aerial further enhances reception so I am not too surprised that you found it working.
Even the supplied aerial that comes with the Navman T1 receiver is better than some of the other RDS units I have tried - Mike

Mine did this last Sunday on the way back from Sheffield. It told me to get off at junction 19 (I think), get on an A road, continue for 6 miles, turn round at the next roundabout and come back to the motorway. However there wasn't a southbound entry so it told me to get on the northbound to junction 20, get off and back on the southbound.

Upon nearing junction 19, it told me to keep right! So about 15 miles travelling to end up where I started!!!!!
