I'm stuck already, done the backup.
Now the unit keeps connection to the PC, and then when I press the disconnect symbol the 720 asks (in random languages) if I want to connect to the PC, when I say no it asks some setup questions then reboots and automatically connects to the PC again...

My 710 and 700 occasionally do that. My answer is to whip the USB connector out as soon as I hear the PC "ding dong USB disconnected" notification before/whilst its rebooting. It works for me, but (naturally) I have no idea how tolerant the 720 is to that sort of "abuse"? Or select Eject from Win Explorer.

I tried disconnecting the 720 from the USB, but was still stuck in the setup loop.
The solution, was to let it connect to Home and then use the "my Go" and it run through the full setup.

So now to try the phone...

Cheers
Paul

Yeah noticed that - looks like it's been brought forward a day (it was originally 03/08/07).

Paul, it’s been an hour since your last post when you were going to try the phone, getting worried for you.

Waiting intentively and in suspense to see if SE works.

I have a SE P990 and I am praying that:

1) Dixons send me my 720 tomorrow, I guess they must be on the way for them to change the date back by one day

and

2) My phone will work with it!

If the release date is now tomorrow we may be lucky and get them Friday, depending how many they get and how far down their list we are.

Yea my prediction is early next week, I ordered back on the 5th July so I would hope to be near the top. I guess it comes down to how many units dixons are expecting, although when I last spoke to them they had no idea. Lets see if the date changes tomorrow, although on the main search screen on the dixons site it does say "In Stock", its only when you go into the product page it says expected 2/8.

Well Dixons and PCWB are the same company in many ways. PCWB 'say' they have 88 units arriving on Friday which would mean delivery on Monday if you opt for the next day option. I would be expecting the same dates from Dixons.

Mine was delivered late this morning via city link from Easy Devices. Pleasingly, city link were spot on. How sad is this though, wife drove to meet me at lunchtime and I spent an hour with her in the car at my work place car park playing with my new toy Embarassed

I'm quite impressed with the voice navigation thing and it looks gorgeous. I'm at home now and am just connecting it via tomtom home :D

Can people state what phones they are using and what works and what doesn’t. As I think many of us may have to make one other investment.

She's going to do her nut. Oh well in for a penny in for a pound.

Thats good to hear Paul have fun.

If anyone gets the SE K700I to work please let me know.
