Hi,

Been visiting the site for a while. Impressed with the amount of information available. Thumbs Up

I currently have an Ipaq 3950 with incar GPS and Tom Tom 2 software.

I have just bought the Nec e616 3g mobile. This has built in GPS. There is an on line mapping system wich costs 10p a visit and is quite slow. The instruction manual mentions Java applications which can be used with the phones GPS. Anyone got any ideas as to what software will be compatible etc.

You may have to wait a few more months until the vendors like TomTom or Mapopolis got hold of a phone like yours so they can port their applications to Java... In the meantime you may find some topographical programs already available but those may be of limited use.

Thanks for replying.

I figured there wouldn't be much available as the handset has only been out a few weeks.

What i was hoping for was an application that will let you use it as a conventional handheld GPS with the ability to set waypoints etc. Guess ill have to be patient.
