I went to the home page and checked for any available software updates and they listed a map update that they issued around May 2007. Figuring I just got a Nuvi 350 in July I thought it would be possible I had older software. So I downloaded it only to find out my device says that map update is older than what is on my device. Ever time I trun the device on it pops a window telling me I have the out of date software.
How do I uninstall the download from the device? Thanks!

Much more information will be required than that to help you. Firstly, are you sure it said "map update", or "software update" - the maps and the software the Nuvi uses are completely different, and I think you are confusing the two.
Assuming you downloaded a software update, how did you download it, what did you do (did you run it on your computer...), how did you get it onto the Nuvi...?
Did you take a full backup before you applied the "update"? _________________ Please don't be offended if I do not reply to a PM - please ask questions via the forums.

It was a software update, got it off Gamin page, had the Nuvi connected to the PC and had that link package downlaoded from Garmin to connect nuvi & pc.

Ok, I'll assume that you didn't take a backup before you started. To be honest, I can't think of a way of fixing this - you've copied the latest update available from Garmin onto your unit, but your unit has a newer version (this happens sometimes). The only thing I can think you can do is to wait until Garmin release the version you have installed onto their website, and download that and install it in the same way. This will then remove the message.
However, two things spring to mind - what exactly is the message that appears - does it say "the map is out of date", or "the software version is older, do you still want to install it"...?
Finally, if you go to Settings / System / About, what are the version numbers, and if you go to Settings / Map / Info, what is the version number? _________________ Please don't be offended if I do not reply to a PM - please ask questions via the forums.
