i am having difficulty using tomtom 5 navigaytor on my MDPPC150.
i have installed the software however it says "NO VALID GPS SIGNAL FOUND"

im using settings gps connect : NMEA-0183

serial cable on COM 1 ( i have an internal antenna on this pocket pc)

mine works ok with the same settings, only thing i cant get working is the signal strength meter.it picks up the sat's but i have no idea how many.

please help... tried to update the firmware and was unsuccessful and now can't get a signal?

Try the Mio 168 settings. Other - NMEA, Baud - 4800, On SP2.

If not try TomTom GPS.

Thanks tried all that and something seems to happen with the SP2 but left to run for over 30 mins but nothing....????????????

Some time back some people said they had to wait for up tp 45 minutes for the first fix after installation. The same thing would apply if you hadn't used the device for several days or you moved a long way away from your last position with the unit off.

On the Mio 168 there was a small blue/yellow spinning ircle to indicate it was searching for a signal.

Are you going outside under an unobstructed sky? Indoors on in a car, especially with an athermic windscreen, you may not get a lock.
