I don't know when the embargo will be lifted but I stand by my original reply that an imminent release is 'highly' unlikely! _________________ Darren Griffin |

why is the price between the 2 so small it's like £30, for that difference i'm going for the 720 just because it's so much better ,i'm dumping my ppc for 1 of these babies even though it will break the bank _________________ TomTom 5001 |

Does anyone know if a 920 or similar device will be launched in the new Go range? I dont wanna go and order a 720 and a month later they release a higher model such as a 920 etc. |

TomTom have denied a 920 is planned. I have absolutely no information to suggest their is one in the pipeline (but I bet there is!). _________________ Darren Griffin |

I see that Dixons have now changed the 720 release date to 13th July, I wonder if anyone will get hold of one in July?? |

Well common business sense would say to release it in time for the August holiday market I would of thought. As long as I can get one by 7th August I'll be happy though. _________________ iPAQ 2110

You are assuming that these dates were supplied by TomTom, my info is they were not, this is simple speculation by retailers, sticking a wet finger in the air. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Just ordered myself a 720 from Dixons, got the £10 pre-order discount, £10 July offer (thanks Speedcam!) and my 5% Egg card discount :D So a new 720 for under £300, bargain!
Quick question - will the maps be stored on internal memory? I want to use this to play mp3's and wondered if the SD slot will be free or occupied by the maps. And if its free whats the biggest size card I can get? I've seen 4gb cards around but many appear to be SDHC which I believe are not compatible... |
