Ran Webupdater today on my Nuvi and was offered the followoing update

Changes from version 2.00 to version 2.30:
Improved voice quality.

Doesn't look like it affects Nuvis which run Text to Speech though

I loaded the new voice, but I think I prefer the old version. Is it possible to reload the old voice?

I prefer the old version, on this version the letter T seems over pronounced and this version is quieter. How do I go back to the old version

Yeah whilst the sound quality is better, i have noticed that it is much quieter. This is annoying cos i drive a rubbish old car and at 70mph on the Mway (about 4.5k rpm) i can't hear it in level 4. By turning it to five the 'Bongs' are really annoying.

bother

I agree too - clearer, but quieter. However, I have simply increased the volume by one level, which has not adversely affected the WAV/mp3 camera warnings I use, so seems a good overall solution for me.

You can do this by replacing the file "English_British_.vpm which is in the Garmin\Voice\ folder on my Nuvi. If you don't have the old file I can sent it to you.
