I currently have a VDO Dayton satnav system which allows me to navigate throughout Western and much of Eastern Europe but I am looking to change my car.
I would like to buy a self contained satnav or gps system so that I could use it in more than one vehicle.
Can anyone suggest a unit that would still allow me to navigate in Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia and Romania.
If at all possible I would also like it to be suitable for motorcycle use, so that I can use a headset and fix it to a mount

the only thing i can think of is iGO 2006 as they have coverage of the areas you want on a gps enabled pocket pc in an otterbox and ram mount

Please forgive my ignorance of all things navigational, is iGO a satnav, or software or what.
I want to try and get an idea of how to adapt a gps to my needs, I want a basic sytem that won't break the bank and will allow me to use a plug in headset rather than bluetooth when motorcycling.
I freely admit to being a technophobe but I'll do my best to understand. Laughing
