TomTom 6 + WM6 + GPS

What's the ideal GPS configuration?

In WM6 you have the option to configure an "External GPS". E.g. you could configure the Bluetooth port for the GPS to COM7 and then the "External GPS" incoming to COM7 and outgoing to COM8, then configure TomTom for COM8.

Is this really necessary when TTNAV works fine configuring the Bluetooth port to say COM8 and then TomTom to use COM8 too? What does the "External GPS" option offer?

i think is the ms answer to gps gate it may allow two appliactions to use the one gps receiver splitting the singal on the device if nav6 runs fine then prersonally id leave it as is
