Hello - i'm trying to "hard-wire" an F20 in the car, and i am having difficulty hiding the curly "anti kink" navman cable. I have seen a "3 Way Car Cigarette Lighter Charger Socket Adapter +USB" which i could install quite close to where i want to site the F20. The device i/o specification is "Import DC 12V-24V to the USB charger it can export electrical source 400mA, DC 5.0V+/-0.5%"

If i buy this adapter, can i also buy a standard USB A - 5 pin mini USB B cable and "hard-wire" the F20 to the USB output on this device?
Also, can i use this same cable to charge the F20 and transfer data (POIs, safety cameras) from my PC USB port?

Any helpful comments appreciated.

400mA has no chance, the navman charger supplies 1.2A (1200mA).
You may find this item more useful,

This hasn't got the socket doubler built in, but you could buy one seperate.

Sorry, forget to add, the same cable should connect to the PC, although you'll need a copy of the connectivity software.
