Have just returned to this forum after a month out of the UK, and very interested to see this fantastic piece of freeware. I note that it should be on the same storage card as the maps. In my case, the maps are on a SD card, and I don't have enough room - but I do have a spare CF slot on my PDA. Could I install the postcode prog on a CF card and run it alongside my existing installation? If so, are there any tricks to make the PDA see both cards at the same time?

Great job ! Excellent ! Thumbs Up

I also was installing onto a 2210, but didn't get anything to install on clicking setup.exe

But transferred the postcode files only and it's all working superbly. I'm running CheckPOInt also.

Great stuff!

If you want to paste a postcode into the box, you can do that using the onscreen keyboard. Simply select the text you want to copy, either use the copy command or press CTRL+C on the onscreen keyboard. When you want to paste what you copied simply select the text box and press CTRL+V, and bingo. Lots of other WINDOWS shortcuts work as well.

Hope this helps. :-)

Niels, In the flood of other stuff I had on the go recently I had completely missed this until Dave added the front page news item. Needless to say i couldn't download it fast enough and it really is a super effort to have reduced the PostCode database to such a size. Cheers Thumbs Up

This is an excellent piece of software. I have downloaded the files onto my 3870 and all is running well. I even have it listed in my start menu! Laughing

Great stuff. No probs with the install on my 2210.
Thanks for a great program.
:D
One (very minor) thing that would be nice is an icon like CheckPOInt has in the bottom right corner of the screen so that it can be easily started with TTN2 already running. One tap instead of two. I agree with the other posters that have said:
- beware feature bloat, keep it simple
- we owe thanks to George as well for the postcode database used here

Why not just assign a hardware button to it? Always easily accessible that way Thumbs Up

Excellent program!

I have a 3870 with PC2002, but it worked WITHOUT having the .NET framework.

Cheers

I've got CheckPOInt 2.0.2 installed.

One thing I've noticed is that if I use the program to "Navigate to" a postcode, it fires up TT2, but not CheckPOInt. Anyone got a workaround for this please?

Start CheckPOInt beforehand? Seriously though, I have CheckPOInt configured to Hardware Button 1 and it is set to launch Tomtom as well. If you configure Button 2 for PostCode it's a simple matter to hit button 1 to ensure CheckPOInt loads before heading off.

Works great, thanks for the app!

The only thing I did find was I had to copy the TTNControl.arm.CAB file to the PPC and execute it from there before it would run - the setup.exe file did instal anything from the desktop.

Just one thing, will updates be made available as their are some Postcodes missing from the database.

I being LS13 3EG

Is their an easy way to add postcodes to the database or not?

Cheers
