Suntime v1.6a

There is a new version of suntime now available and can be found as usual Here

Its retains the menu icon as the previous version, but now when the icon is selected, you get a configuration menu, which makes it much easier to configure to your requirements. Many thanks to the author!

Anyone know what the settings should be for the new suntime 1.6 if i live in the UK

Hi,

In the GMT offset box enter +1

It seems to work OK but bear in mind this is never going to be perfect as sunrise can vary across the UK by up to 25 - 30 minutes. And, is therefore dependent upon where you are when you want the unit to switch over. So, a bit of trial and error might be necessary.

The numer can also be entered as a decimal e.g.one and a half hours = 1.5

Cheers for that, what about the dawn twilight box should that be ticked or unticked

I think the answer to this question is so technical that it is beyond my comprehension or else it is lost in the translation.

"Color change parameter allows you to choose between a color change right at sunrise/sunset time (unchecked box) or at dawn/twilight time (checked box). " Quote from from the web bazar website.

I am not sure that I know the difference between sunrise / dawn and sunset / twilight. But someone out there will and will tell us.......

What I do know is I have the box ticked and it works.

Perhaps more concisely:
It's still pretty light out for awhile before sunrise and after sunset.

If you do not tick the "Twilight" option, the mode will change even though it's not yet actually light or dark in the sky.

I also use twilight - no sense switching to night mode if it's still light out Smile
