You can do this using Audacity

1/ File/ Open - Select the warning sound you want to amplify.

2/ Edit/ Select All

3/ Effect/ Amplify - now use the slider to increase the volume, preview to listen to your alteration - don't do too far though as it will distort the sound quality (note down what values you used on some paper). Once happy with the new volume tick the "Allow Clipping" check box to enable the OK button.

4/ File/ Export As OGG Vorbis....

Save the file and try it out on the device, if the new amplified sound is loud enough alter the other ogg files to the same amplification level in the same way as above - Mike

I can certainly highly recommend the ones that Mullet did with the siren - really fantastic for me. Clap Thumbs Up

You could always try chatting her up and moving in with her and then leaving your dirty undies on the bedroom floor ...I reckon her volume would increase then.

The ones I modifed (and I think Andy P adjusted the rest) have peak values similar to the standard TomTom voices and are louder than Rays originals.

One set I modified are prefixed by a loud siren with truckers in mind. Grabs the drivers attention over the noise of the CB, Radio and diesel.

I am using Liz downloaded from the above site, and they are about the same volume as Jane. They also get louder as you get faster, just like Jane does

There should be a red light voice file for every speed-zoned set on the main download page.

There are also some on that page for the "pmobiles" (using a text to speech voice "Crystal")
