I dont like the sucker mount, its difficult to put the tomtom onto the mount and its difficult to get it off again!
The sucker has fallen off once too.
I would prefer a dash mount for it so could anyone recommend a "type" and a supplier please?
Thanks.

Have a look at Brodit they do a mount for the One both Active (wired to supply power) and passive (use your own charger lead). With the Brodit system you need the mount and a Pro Clip which is specific to your vehicle, they make a huge array of different mounting solutions, there home page is www.brodit.se (there is a button for English) - Mike

I too found the TT difficult to remove from the mount, nowadays, I just put it into the mount with just the lightest of pressure, it probably sits 4 or 5 MM higher in the mount than if it was pushed home, but has never come out.

I've never had the suction mount fall off, just lightly moisten first.

I don't know if this helps you, or if my description makes sense but:
To remove the TT1 from the sucker mount, I simply put my thumb under the unit and my fingers on the stem of the mount and squeeze until it disengages.

Re: Brodit clips and mounts...

If you are struggling with the Brodit website (or their link to a UK supplier who is actually just a wholesaler), can I recommend http://www.dsldevelopments.com/.
Any questions you can ring the main man (David, IIRC) and he'll sort you out.

No connection, just a recent satisfied customer. Smile
