Hi All

Spent my hard earned beer tokens on a Fortuna Clip-On, after reading the threads and reviews here.

Got it yesterday morning and no matter what i try still no fix. Left it on the bed room window sill all last night in SP mode Sad It is now in the same place in XT mode and 2 hrs later, no fix Sad I know this window gets a lock as the Navman 3400 has no problems.

I have checked that the switch is completely either ST or XT and not mid way. Yesterday I even tried it on the roof of my Land Rover stationery in the middle of nowhere - nothing. Tries resetting the battery once or twice still nothing Sad

Any suggestions? A duff unit or a duff operator???

Second question. I am using a iPAQ 5450 PC2003 and TTN2.24 + 2.09. How do you get a pairing with the clip-on? It is there in the BT manager as a Bluetooth port but only as incoming connection. Also the icon in the BT manager has a big blue "?".

Finally what are the settings in TTN2?

Tried:

Emtac Wireless BT Serial Port 8 (as suggested in another thread)
NMEA 0183v2 38400 Serial Port 8
NMEA 0183v2 BT Serial Port 8
SiRF 38400 Serial Port 8
SiRF BT Serial Port 8

Please help me before I go mad Evil or Very Mad

Hi All

Finally got it working, more reading and a lot of trial and error, but still not perfect Sad

I have found that you need to turn off the the BT Manager in Pocket PC 2003 and turn it back on with the BT Clip-On just turned on.

The Sat lock is is almost instant - really amazing.

The only problem is with the TTN2 the map screen freezes at random intervals. The iPAQ works fine and the map screen still response to touch etc etc. But the BT connection is lost.

Any ideas anyone??

I have a 2210 with the firtuna and TT2...

I haven't had any problems at all sine I updated the bios on the 2210 (from www.hp.com).

I didn't ever have the problem with having to turn the blutooth on the ipaq off though: I just paired it in bluetooth manager and created a shortcut. Whenever I ran TT it just asked which BT device I want to use and away it went.
