| I sent my 660 back to Garmin as i was annoyed about the traffic info not working and the speaker was a bit dodgy. Said on the RMA form that it was still version 3.20 but loaded it up and it's version 3.30! Haven't checked GTM software version yet - will have a look and post back. |

I'd definitely be interested to know the GTM version, especially if it's v4.00 - if so, please PM me, as I'd like a copy of it!

Garmin are very good at doing this sort of thing. My original handheld GARMIN GPSII+ had a problem where it turned off in very cold weather. I returned it to them and a replacement came back. I had sent a unit with V2.07 s/w in it and got back a unit with V2.11 installed. As far as I am aware this is still not a download option for the II+. It's still working perfectly all these years later.

Sometimes they need to update the firmware to support new hardware, and hence there is no need to provide this firmware to older units.

What a joke. GTM firmware is still v3.90. Garmin send me a completely new unit with all new accessories yet traffic info doesn't work out of the box!

Try using Webupdater, GTM v4.00 now available.
