Hi, I need a Sat Nav system for my O2 XDA Orbit. I have looked at various websites for CoPilot, TomTom etc and have made numerous phone calls but cannot find out if any of them have a couple of features I require.
I need to get an accurate speed readout in miles per hour when driving my car and to be able to check an accurate latitude and longitude when required. Can anyone please confirm whether particular sat navs for the Orbit will/will not provide this information.
Thanking you in anticipation, Peter Sullivan.

TomTom's GPS Status screen will display what you want - never tried it but you may still get the audible directions for navigation when in this mode.

TomTom will also display speed on the navigation screen - but not Lat / Lon.

Although the displayed speed will be more accurate than your car speedo in most cases, it is worth remembering this is only true when travelling level and straight (more or less); sharp bends and inclines will give less accurate readings.

Lat/Lon display whilst car navigating is not a usual requirement :D It is usually required for topological applications.

Seem to remember reading that the more sats locked in then the more accurate the speed readout.
