Ok some photos.

On this you can se that GPS connector is coverd but my power and RDS-TMC is connected.

The red arrows show one thing I wrote about.
The long T shaped aluminum coverd with shrink tube attached to that small screw this is taking tha main part of the load.
The semi hard glue is only for angels and preventing rattle.

P.S. Out of curiousity, why did you use the heat shrink sleeving?

Thanks for the head's up, but shouldn't take the space, there linked to your photo's host aren't they.

Anyhow, I have just about finished my mount now, just waiting for the paint to dry. Brrrrr, it's too cold here.

Looks like a brilliant mount Pplutt, I've never liked the way the units stick out so far usually.

I wish you'd done a picture of you "adjusting the angels" though! Supreme Angel Especially the bit where you "took an hot glue gun and made the angels permanent" Laughing

I've just spotted this thread, so apologies for the double post, but this is what I've done with my mount (and the mount can be reverted back to the suction design very quickly if needed).

It's not particularly pretty or elegant but you still keep the ball-joint movement of the mount.

(Pics included).
