I have just "retired" my Road Angel Navigator (early version of 6000) after about 1 year of use. The device frequently took several minutes and multiple restarts to pick up the satellites and on many occasions would "get confused". This would result in a hour glass displaying on the screen and not providing directions for up to 10 minutes. also, the graphics quality for the navigation are inferior vs TomTom's and the progress arrow on the map appears sluggish (slow processr?).

This is a small detail, but I didn't like the power switch. Over the period of ~14 months, the top of the recessed power switch went deaper into the device, making it more difficult to start up and shutdown.

When I did get the satellites, the speed alert function work well. Displays are excellent and significantly better than TomToms.

I ended up getting a TomTom 710 and added voice warninigs to the Pocket GPS database. I also let the TomTom camera database alert me so that I have 2 warnings for the speed cameras. Not as good as the RA speed alert, but overall, a much better solution from a software and harware standpoint.
