Sony support web site.

Is anyone else having problems getting the support site. All I want to know is if there a later software than 1.05 for the nv-u50t / u70t.

On the website it only goes up to 1.05 at the moment. However I purchased my NV-U50 the other day and it says the software version id 1.06. So maybe they will update it soon

I have a Sony NV-U50 from Argos. Just 1 month old. The firmware was 1.01, i have updated from Sony support website to 1.05 but i did not see any improuvement. At least the map does not seem to be changed(and i know some areas built 3 years ago which are not on the map). Can you send me the map from your device? probably you have a updated one, considering your firmware version is even better compared with what it is available on Sony website.

mariusro m8 the firmware has nothing to do with the maps, it's the operating system and yes 1.01 had major problems 1.05 is almost there but not quite.

when i connect the device to my computer it is possible to explore the files from nv-u flash memory... under \Mounted Volume\Sony i have a file named British_Isles_MIKA.map created in 2005. it has 176mb and probably is the map file. The problem is the map what i have is not a recent one even if i bought the device one month ago. I know at least 2 streets which does not apear in the map and i moved in the area 3 years ago. Sony does not offer any options to upgrade the maps or to download one for another country which is odd. I understood http://www.navu.sony-europe.com/ was active few months ago, but probably they decided to play with customers nerves.
can somebody help me and send me a recent map from an nv-u with a updated version?
I presumed , reading Paul's post, if hes device is a 1.06 firmware that means is a recent make. probably i was unfortunate and i have one produced at least 1 year ago and not upgraded (from map point of view)

You have the same map as me and yes it's out of date, as with any digital map will be. Iam waiting for the new site to open :-

I have sony 71t which i bought two weeks back. the map version is not mentioned so i dont know if its updated. it has MN6 and navteq. I ad seen the website which was active for few days in dec and one could downlaod speed camera from there. now i am waiting for it to become active, no new from them yet.
