nuvi 310 versus street pilot 320

i have just got the nuvi and i find it not as good as the street pilot,the maps are not as clear and it doesnt seem to give as much detail as the street pilot,if i am driving but not navigating a particular route the street pilot gives good descriptions of streets near yuor current location but the nuvi is very bad at this,also the graphics as in the actual lettering are not nearly as clear as the street pilot.anybody know how i rectify this?has anyone found similar problems?
