When looking at the database as a .csv file using excel there are literally hundreds of cameras without a listed speed limit. Why is this?

Because people have sent in the locations of cameras but not added the speed.

It's better to have a warning, without the speed, than no warning at all! Historically, the speed wasn't captured.
Please update the speeds for any TBAs in your area, wherever you are!

these are usually mobile locations and we go off the premise that it's better to be aware that vans etc are used nearby even if we're not sure of the speed until later.
