I have the HP 2795 (Mobile 5 OS) and just purchased the BC-337 CF GPS. The TINY program that came with the GPS sees the GPS fine (COM 4). But every program I try (TomTom, GPS Tuner, Navigon, various freeware programs etc), does not see the GPS. In all programs I get an error message that says "Unable to connect to Bluetooth system! Please make sure Bluetooth is enabled and try again."
It's like all the programs are looking for a Bluetooth GPS, rather than the CF slot GPS I have. I've tried everything.
If anyone has any clues, hook me up. I'm a geek, so no need to "dumb it down" in the answer.
Thanks. |

Figured it out. In case anyone else has this similiar problem.....I had that tiny program that came with the GPS opened at the SAME time as the other programs. That program was "hogging" the COM port, therefore TomTom, Streets and Trips, etc, could not find the GPS. Once I closed that program, other programs worked find. Duh!! |

Have you generated a partnership between the PDA and Bluetooth device.
That needs to be done to give the GPSr a COM port number.
That port number will then appear in the Tomtom port list. |
