Neil, can you help?

My styles.cfg does not contain this text. I am running 6.0.1.68 with Safety Cameras. The file is dated 13/8/2005.

Is it the wrong one? Why wasn't it updated on download? PC contains same file.

Thanks.

Hi,

There will always be a small under read on GPS speed unless you can drive in an exact straight line. The reason is that the GPS RX measures your position and compares it with the position at the last second, assuming a straight line between the two positions to calculate your speed. I also think it is damped or a weighted average over several seconds, so if you are doing a steady speed on a straight road the GPS speed should equal your speedometer.

If you are going round a bend (the straight line is a cord on the circle and a shorter distance) or accelerating or breaking then it will give an error.

Has anyone found out how to get the speed and camera type up in the new alert? Should I replace the @ symbol in the ov2 file?

Cheers

DrRobin

Did you remove copilot and reset before applying the patch?

Yes, those were the CoPilot instructions. I looked on my PC as well, and its got the "old" styles.cfg. I've checked the download as well, and that seems to have the "old" file. So where am I missing the [Basic\SafetyCameraAlertText] ?

Can I just type it in?
