Hi,

My copy of TT6 should be being dispatched today/tomorrow - does anybody know if CheckPOInt works with TT6?

Cheers,

Steve.

I just wondered if anybody had tried it. I might be doing a disservice to TT6, but doesn't look too different to TT5, so I wondered if the APIs were compatible.

Cheers,

Steve

For speed camea notification that are time/speed dependant, not distance, don't go Bing, Bong, or Moo. Has this improved in TT6? Not seen anybody mention it...

Cheers,

Steve

Not from what I have read on here. I believe it's still distance dependant, which is a shame, as time would be much more useful.

I set distances that equate to 10 secs (at the speed limit), so that's not too bad, but I like the appropriate warning to be given, rather than an indiscriminate bong or something.

Have been using a modified data.chk for that, but don't know whether that will work in TT6 or not.

Cheers,

Steve

Hi StevePritchard
I don’t know if Checkpoint runs with TT6 but I have no doubt it will do in the near future. I agree with you, it’s a great ‘Add On’.

As for TT6, well, what can I say. For someone just entering the GPS world I suppose it will be a decent buy. But for someone who has TT5 already installed I would say “keep your money in your pocket because it cant do anything more than TT5”.
Except for a few new Gimmicks.

Does Checkpoint now work correctly with TT5?
The last version I tried flickered and was a great distraction.

I'm thinking of it more as a map upgrade, and the clincher is that it doesn't take half a day to start-up...

Cheers,

Steve.

Hi spook51
I have ran Checkpoint 5.2 since it came available and find it just fine.

However, they have never been able (or unwilling) to cure the flickering problem. I, like most other users overcome that annoyance by going to Checkpoint / Settings / General Settings, and tick the ‘Show Warning Information’ box.
