|
|
I have only had my TTG 910 a couple of days and on day one all worked fine.....street names were read out but when I changed the voice it no longer reads the names.
I understand I need to use the computer voice but where the hell is this....what is its name in the selection menu. All other voices seem to be real human voices.
Any help will be much appreciated!
Thanks. |

Scroll through preferences to Change Voice.
Select Kate or Simon (English UK - with computer voice stated beside the characters silouette) or any other voice that you wish to use as long as the name computer voice is displayed beside the silouette of the voice character. _________________ Samsung A55 Android 14

Welcome to the forum geordie9.
Select a computer voice
For example Kate English will say Female Computer voice in the Top Right of the display.
Once selected on the next page you need to ensure "Read aloud Street Names" is selected (In fact I have all these options selected).
On the next screen I only select the options I need, reading out tips, tutorials and disabling early warnings are left un-selected. - Mike |

i can't find the computer voices anywhere!!
I think I might have deleted them by mistake when I was weeding out the voices i dont need.
Don't suppose you guys could email me the computer voices so I can install them back on to my TT? |

Sorry this is against forum rules, and the files are aprox 4GB in total so not viable at all using e-mail!
Have you created a day one back-up of your devce? - if so have a look at copying that back to your device, if not do you have a folder on the 910 named loquendotts - if so what is contained within it? - Mike |

I dont have a folder under that name.
The only files I require is the voice files which are small files. |

The folder should be named LoquendoTTS and this contains approx 4GB of data, within the folder should be the computer voice files/ folders, if you have deleted them without making a backup first you should contact TomTom directly for support, the supplied disk does not contain any of the files you are missing, without a backup of the device as supplied there is very little you can do - Mike |
