Is there an official or unofficial way of speeding up the simulation mode? I haven't found anything in the menus, but maybe someone knows how to do this?

What?

I just want the unit to simulate an entire route quicker than it does by default...

Is there a particular feature that you want to see when it simulates the route?

No, I just want it to be exactly the same, just a bit quicker Smile With TomToms there is a slider you can adjust for this purpose.

I know what you mean, if you are simulating a 30 minute trip then you don't want to be watching the thing for 30 minutes!

You used to be able to speed it up on my old GPS-V by pressing the rocker pad to the right. I don't know if you can do it on newer units. Confused

The only time i used the feature on tomtom was to show someone who hadn't seen a satnav before how it gave you directions.
I just wondered because if want to look at the route goto 'review turns' then press the scroll wheel, it then shows a small map and the directions for each turn.

i do wish people who ask for the i3 to do things that only a more expensive gps can do,consider the fact that (like you say sanaar) the i3 has limitations..

I dont see why we should be happy with the whole "well we paid less so lets not ask for more" attitude. After readin reviews, it seems the I3 has already had some pretty good updates, if im not mistaken once over you couldnt even search by post code.
We paid less as we dont have a fancy touch screen, or a unit that charges itself when plugged in, to me that justifies the £100 less we paid. as for anything software related, there is no reason we should expect less than more expensive models

Does Review Turns give you enough information, especially when you click on the thumbwheel a second time to get distance and time information?
