Destinator 6 Activation?

Have the s/w but still waiting on my h/w to arrive.
Reading through the manual and it says in the activation section that it does not apply to maps of Western Europe or USA.
So can I start using this straight away with full functionality without any kind of registration?
No land line at home let alone broadband
