xdaII holux 210 compatible?

I have an Xda II I phoned Holux uk to see if their 210 tomtom2 package was copatable with the xda II they said it was , however on arrival an install the lead powers the xda II but com1 does not exist and when other configs are tried the gps staus screen remains grey and will not acquire signal.
1. is this user error?
2. Is the holux 210 lead compatable with the xdaII are the pin config the same ?
any advise

:D Solved the problem with Holux uk help, there is a known problem with the xda and now the xdaII must disable IR then works out of box!
would have been useful if they had said this at start but phoned them and they will to future users

This is a common "problem" on XDA connecting to GPS and I do not know whether it is the same with XDA II.

The IR Beam is enabled on XDA by default. It graps the com port thus prveneting any other peripherals using the com port.

Go to Settings>Connections>Beam, if Beam is checked that could well be the "problem". Uncheck it and try again.
