Well I had to return my Tom Tom to PC world--I now have my 4th unit !!

After it froze I eventually managed to get it to power up again but all the English languages had disapeared and I had gained loads of new ones--Chinese etc. In the background you could see the damage on the hard drive(loads of artifacts) In other wise it was totatlly screwed.

They were very good at PC World and got 3 out of stock so I could check the mount etc before I took it home.
I was really worried about doing a firmware upgrade again but this time it all went well with no problems.

So lets hope all my other problems are now sorted...BTW the bluetooth has been crap on ALL the ones I've had so I think I'll forget about this for now,haven't even bothered to try it on this one yet

After the problem I had with the Mac Vesion of TomTom Home I decided to make a MacOS Package to install, update or restore TomTom software 6.11
from any mac to any TomTom x10, without having to go through the manual replacement of files.
The file is a 6.8 MB dmg.
