Hi... Smile Does anyone know if I can put a 2gb high speed (x166) SDcard into this Satnav PDA? I've seen one cheap online. There is also a 1gb card of the same brand, but pricewise it's worth going for the 2gb if it will work in this unit.
Cheers
Tony.

You could try giving Medion a ring, or e-mail the question.

Not relevant to your question I know, but I asked the same question with regards to TomTom ONE and my answer was 2GB SD card "Max"

I remember seeing on the Mitac site, many months ago, that the 168 could take a 2GB Card but that statement seems to have disappeared and I've read other posts where it was said there were problems with a 2GB Card.

I decided to stick with 1GB and found the max speed of my 168 is 133x so purchased a Kingston 1GB SD Ultimate x133 (actual read/write speed is 20x compared to the normal cards 4x).

Have a look here http://www.choicestationery.com/acatalog/Secured_Digital.html

Thanks for that. ..Much appreciated. I've ordered a 1gb x133 SD card going on your replies. I'm hoping that it may make a difference to the slow performance of the Navtech 4 software on my Medion 150clone unit. I'm driving past streets seconds before the red arrow on the display. Anyone know whats to blame for this...soft software or slow processor? What's the Tomtom like?

tomtom5 software will go on easy.with regard to your position whilst driving i find it varies day to day also i think they are accurate to within 15 meters.which might explain things for you

Making sure POI's are turned off and there are no programmes running in the background, is the first step.

There is a big difference since using the Ultimate Card. I now notice my position on screen, when passing a turning, is spot on, rather than being just that bit behind. I've also found the final turn left/right instructions come in good time before the turn, rather than at it.
