Maxiumum Capacity SD Card for Medion PPC150 (Mitac Mio 168 )

Hi...

Does anyone know if I can put a 2gb high speed (x166) SDcard into this Satnav PDA? I've seen one cheap online. There is also a 1gb card of the same brand, but pricewise it's worth going for the 2gb if it will work in this unit.

Not relevant to your question I know, but I asked the same question with regards to TomTom ONE and my answer was 2GB SD card "Max"

I remember seeing on the Mitac site, many months ago, that the 168 could take a 2GB Card but that statement seems to have disappeared and I've read other posts where it was said there were problems with a 2GB Card.

I decided to stick with 1GB and found the max speed of my 168 is 133x so purchased a Kingston 1GB SD Ultimate x133 (actual read/write speed is 20x compared to the normal cards 4x).

Thanks for that. ..Much appreciated. I've ordered a 1gb x133 SD card going on your replies. I'm hoping that it may make a difference to the slow performance of the Navtech 4 software on my Medion 150clone unit. I'm driving past streets seconds before the red arrow on the display. Anyone know whats to blame for this...soft software or slow processor? What's the Tomtom like?
