Can anyone confirm that it works for the nuvi too? If it does, I'll change the name/title bar in the next release...

I've downloaded the speed-camera file (the one with 23 seperate files in) and it appears that this superb little utility doesn't like it.

On the other hand it copes admirably with the smaller file ...

Will this be fixed in a future release - or (more than likely) am I doing something wrong ?

Hi! First time poster!

I got an i3 today, and this speed cam database plus this warning thing is sweet... I'd just like you to confirm a few things Smile

Firstly, I downloaded the PGW speed-cam database, then dragged it into the warning/time tool, then followed the instructions, by loading up the POI Loader and updating the i3 with the original PGW database, have the ''doctored'' POIs gone onto my i3, and will I get warnings?

Sorry if this is a dumb question etc! Smile

Also, when I switched the i3 on, all my custom POIs had gone?

Whenever you send any POIs to an i3 ALL the previous are deleted first.

So if you have Custom POIs for Asda, Speed Cameras and Tesco and a new update comes out for the Speed Cameras then you need to load the new Speed Camera database with the old Tesco and Asda database. Other wise you'll only have the Speed Cameras.

When you drag the zipped camera database to my application, it processes the files and saves them into the last directory used by POI Loader.

If you've already uploaded custom POI to your i3, leave the files where they are on your hard disk - the processed camera database will be added to these files.

In this way all of your POI (custom plus camera database) will be uploaded in one go next time you use POI Loader Smile

Hi to all.
Message to Ash10.
I can confirm that your software does work on the nuvi 360 so hopefully should work on all the other models.
I was looking for a way to have the camera icons on all the time. This comes pretty close.
My icons still disappear when I stop in the vicinity of a camera and I get a bong again when I start moving but I can sure live with that.

Well here's the long story. :D
The Navman 520 was my first dabble into the world of sat nav and I have to say I was pretty disappointed.
Tech support didn't seem to have a clue about their products either.
My main gripes with this unit were:
1. Voices: These were terrible in the fact that they had a serious lisp. The female was worse than the male but you couldn't do anything about it. The female voice became affectionately known as 'lisping laura' on these forums. Navman's response to this was "These are currently the only voice files available for this unit".
2. 7 Digit postcode search: None available. Only 5 digit.
3. Active POI's. No matter what you did to this unit you could only have 16 active POI's, although p.89 of their handbook says you can have 25. (As you know, you need 23 to 'speed zone' your cameras).

The reason I mentioned tech support was that I was told by two different people that a fix would be supplied for the 7 digit postcode search and the 25 active POI's in the now infamous Service Pack 1 update. (Probably just to get me off the phone).
Needless to say the Service pack came and went and neither of these two issues were addressed.

So I gave up with the Navman as a unit and installed TT software on it.
I had 42 crystal clear celebrity voices with not a hint of a lisp (so that eliminated the hardware) 39 active POI's (no problems for speed zoning the cameras)
7 digit postcode available.
So there I was, a TT convert, then I had it nicked (and not from the car before you ask).
Saved up the pennies for the TT910 but the mount is a disaster and the software needs some serious sorting.
So here I am, running the nuvi 360 and it does what it says on the tin, with an overspeed warning to boot.

I believe the newer Navman units incorporate a 7 digit postcode search but this is not going to be available for the 510/520 units. How poor is that? It's only a software update.
Don't know about active POI's or quality of their voices on their newer units. But I won't be going back to try.

But I'm all calm now cos my nuvi is behaving itself as I would expect. So it won't be mentioned again. Honest.
Anyway back on topic, quick question for you.
Are the icons meant to disappear when you stop in the vicinity of a camera? Cos mine do.
If they are, then I would like to see them always on.
