Dont know if you had a reply yet, but the truvelo camera is the one that faces you and has an infrared camera, that way not flashing you and blinding you. The tall ones are still gatso |

The new tall ones are (or can be) combined Gatso/Redlight. _________________ Tim |

Thanks Timber - that makes it very clear......except that the new tall pole Gatso are not mentioned. The design of the pole is such that the camera cannot be lowered (as far as I can tell) so must be digital and not restricted to 400 photos. It is also interesting to read that Gatso can only cover one lane as the road markings are usually on all the lanes.......so presumably the outside lane is most likely to be the one to trigger your lack of observation. |

I think the new tall pole cameras are mentioned, they are "Monitron" devices, digital yes, have a look at http://www.ukspeedtraps.co.uk/gatso12.htm to be more specific these should be what you are refering to - Mike |

As far as I know, Truvelos can face either way and use (3) pressure strips buried in the road. _________________ Jock

Thanks Mike - what a great link you supplied - most informative and helpful! Perhaps these cameras should be marked seperately on our units as they are potentially more of a threat than Gatso. Does "The Management" have any view on this? |
