I read on another thread that some people were having problems with bluetooth popping up - im having the opposite!

I would like that when bluetooth is swicthed on, that Navigator would automatically connect to my E740. At the moment, i have to first load the bluetooth settings, select the paired tom tom receiver, then connect to it - after which i can start Navigator.

If i load Navigator, it simply states No GPS available Sad

Rick.

I am using an Emtac BT unit with E740 and TTN2.

The best thing to do is go to Toshiba website and install the latest version of the BT stack. Then you have to set up the pairing process again. I have mine set under a "general" category on Com6. This new version of BT has changed considerably from the standard version. It is worth reading the new instructions that are part of the install.

This new version of the BT stack is improved in that it allows you to auto connect (also activesync as well, if you want to do that on BT). It also enables you to connect to more-than-one BT device at once.

However, this auto-connect is a mixed blessing. If you don't have your BT unit switched on, and you want to load up Navigator just to browse the map, then Navigator goes through several loops of trying to auto-connect to the BT unit (taking several seconds each time), complaining it can't connect etc.

Most of the time though, you have to suffer the E740 BT problem of "BT card not working", and so need to do a soft-reset prior to running Navigator in anycase. But after this soft-reset, Navigator will then auto-connect.
