you may get them to talk to each other but then what do you expect them to do? Do you want to download maps from the web via the phone and then download them to the Fortuna or do you want to use the GPS output of the Fortuna and navigate with the phone? _________________ Lutz

I have a T610, and AFAIK, there's no GPS apps out there that support the T610. |

Well it appears some phones do have a GPS Nav system
Wayfinder Mobile Navigator™ currently works with the following models:
• Nokia 6600, Nokia 3650, Nokia 7650 and Nokia N-gage
• Sony Ericsson P800
• Siemens SX1

Yes Wayfinder is out for some Symbian phones, but not the T610. |

No the phones do not have GPS NAV system.
A BT GPS is also needed for Wayfinder to work. _________________ Pc-Mobile

Technically they don't as the small application requires you to go off via a GSM/GPRS connection to download maps from the Wayfinder server on the internet, but you can use it as a Navigation system (albeit basic) compared to current offerings.
We will have a preview of the P800 version shortly. |

Didn't you forget this review??
I really hope that you will make that review! I think it will be the only way to get the coders of Wayfinder back to work! The P800 version suffers from so much functions that it is practical unusable. It's good for fun, but not for serious use.
If you make a review than Wayfinder will be (at least) aware of all this problems and will hear from someone else what we all want in a navigation software. At the moment Wayfinder will not include avoid options.
Just because they think the shortest way is always the best way.

No we haven't forgotten about it, Duncan is still reviewing the product. The basis of the review is there, jus tmore work is needed before it is released. |

Wasn't Duncan given a pre-release version some months ago?
Hopefully we can see in that review some comparisions between Wayfinder and other navigation systems.
