Hi,

I am haveing problems with the latest database and my ICN 630. I have printed off the instructions and have followed them to the letter as I have in the past and its always worked.... The problem is that all the files that are downloaded from the latest database are not a format recognised. I am told to download csv files by the instructions but there aren't any in the database. I could really do with the files to download them. Basically...I just need to know where the csv files are that are compatible with Navman 630.

Thanks Sad

If you can't use the .asc files which you get when you select Navman as your SatNav device, and I can't see why you should have any problems (I have loaded said .asc files onto my two Garmin devices) then select 'Other' as your SatNav device and you will see the .csv files there. Of course, you will have to edit the top line, either by removing it completely or preceeding it with a ';', which isn't necessary with the .asc files.

Hi,

Thanks for the fast reply ... However, I have downloaded the files as you suggested from the others section and these are csv files....The problem is that it is now saying that there are " no POI's found in input file"

Any ideas Confused

And have you edited the .csv files as required? Again, with the proper editing they work for me. What did you edit them with? As an aside, what did Navman POIEditor report when you tried to select the .asc files?

Hi,

I did as the instructions told me. I opened the files, then I deleted the top line of the file ie; the long and lat etc. I then saved the file as a text file and then saved it onto my desktop. I then opened the poi editor and selected open file. The file opened as I expected it to as a text file with the lists in sight in tabular form. I then saved to device and selected a bitmap picture for the file... The poi editor then read "no poi found in file".

I dont think I missed anything but if you think I have, I would be grateful.

What did you use to edit the files?

But what application did you use to delete the first line? Notepad, Excel, something else?
