Right here are some of the cameras that have never existed:
1) On the A699 coming from Kelso just at the entry to the town of Maxton (mobile).
2) On the A6091 at the junction with the town of Melrose (mobile).
3) On the A7 coming from Edinburgh before getting into the town of Stow two mobile cameras within a couple of hundred of feet between them (may be submitted by the same person twice!!).
4) One extra Gatso on the A68 between Lauder and Oxton (although there is another existing camera there).
There was another Gatso on the A696 on the way to Newcastle upon Tyne in a small town (the name has skipped my mind but I'll add it once been through it again) prior to Ponteland.
I can't imagine that these are all dummy cameras being put by the team to protect the database and would imagine them to be all falsely submitted.

Ok, can I ask how you can be sure that the Mobile locations aren't genuine?

Darren, maybe Almahadeus with his 'local' knowledge could check the following 2 websites for accuracy and pinpoint locations of cameras in the Borders area.
Lothian & Borders Safety Camera Partnership website with mobile & gatso locations for the Borders area
http://www.lbsafetycameras.co.uk/articles.phpfrmArticleID=14&staticId=36
Also a national site with Google Maps of sites and routes for mobile & gatso cameras with the following link for Lothian & Borders area.

It's a shame that all Partnerships don't set up their sites like the second link you gave.

Just so easy to drag the map around and zoom in to each location.

They don't show up unless you set the proximity alerts for that POI (i.e. above a certain speed or within a certain distance)

Garmin felt that it would be too cluttered with all the POI icons on screen and so didn't give you a choice!
