ttg300 screen brightness

I have done a search but couldn't find the thread I was looking for. My friend just brought round his new TT One to show me, and his screen was so much brighter than mine, even with his set to 80% and mine on 100%. I remember others on here having a problem with dim screens, so I'm wondering if anybody managed to solve this, with some sort of fix.
Apologies if it's a tired old subject, but any help would be great. Currently on V5.420

Sorry but there's no fix - it's just a fact of life!

The TT1 does have a very nice and bright screen. The software version won't make any difference to this in the GO300. If it's any consolation you get nicer audio!

Personally when I was choosing I found the better screen and much better satellite reception/lock-on were worth trading off for the less 'rich' audio.
