Installing TomTom ONE in Mondeo

Has anyone installed the TomTom ONE in a Ford Mondeo Mk2, to the right of the central vent http://helloscoobydoo0.tripod.com/TomTomONE_in_Mondeo.JPG ?

The supplied clip fits in there nicely and just requires the TT ONE to slide in/out with ease but I just need someway of attaching the clip to the dash - any ideas or has someone done this already?

Have you looked at a Brodit solution? Fit a Brodit ProClip to your dashboard and a Brodit holder for the ONE and you have a very neat finish that will look OEM.

I'd love to have a Brodit clip in my Fiesta (04model). But the only fixing they do is down to the far bottom left of the dashboard, far too far away and you've have to take your eyes off the road for ages, not to mention not being able to reach it Sad

That's too far away to see. They have solved the problem in the 2006 Fiesta, alas I don't have a 2006 Fiesta.

I currently use a vent mounted holder, but that's prone to falling off due to the nature of the vents.

I've got mine mounted in a similar position in my Nissan Primera using the Brodit system and don't understand what you mean by 'it's too far away to see'. In my opinion it's in a great position, the mount isn't obvious when the car is parked and the display doesn't distract by being in front of you when driving normally and the wiring is easier to hide as it's nearer the lighter socket. Since the occasional glance is all you normally need when negotiating junctions (as the audio instructions are usually pretty clear) I don't really find it a problem. If I used the windscreen mount I'd find it much more of a distraction.

I've seen the Brodit setup but find it very ugly and cumbersome, and also blocks the vents. I want to take advantage of the space available in the 'spare vent' and don't wish to see too much protruding out from there, something that the Brodit does.
