can someone please tell me if this link:

means that digital maps for these areas are available to use with Memorymap etc?

Hi Laurence,

I don't think those maps will work on Memory Map. Most companies use their own proprietary data formats, for example .qct for Memory Map and .fx4 for Fugawi, etc.. Maybe, like Memory Map, those "Georando" maps come with "free" viewing software, but if you're having difficulty reading the website, then you'll probably have more trouble using the software!

The software looks quite different to MM, since it claims to work with Win98 and NT4, etc., whereas MM (v.5) virtually demands XP.

well, Ive taken the plunge and ordered before going to Normandy in 12 days. If it is just a topo map with its own PPC viewer and has gps support Ill be OK. let you know!
