Hi.
Since downloading the speed camera's and some poi, my disc is now full up.
Can someone advise me the files to get rid of i.e Voices.
Also I can off load unwanted default poi.
Have backed up my ttg 700 and would appreciate some help as to complete any updates I need.
I'm sure there are quite a few files that are of no normal use just sitting there?
Many thanks for any help.

Micmac

The 700 comes with at least 1GB of free space. Have you added some maps?

You can make room by removing unneeded voices. Use the CD or the 5.42 download setup.exe to do this. Or delete the pairs of voice files you don't need (there's a .vif file and a paired data**.chk file for each voice).

Don't delete the data.chk itself. That has the warning sounds on it.

If you haven't added maps, you must hold some sort of record for filling up a 700!!

Hi.
My propertiies say that there is no free space. 2.32 gb.
I have only added some poi for work and the latest camera downloads each month since approx sep -04 that's all.
It started off around 1.38 gb

Just got my TomTom 700.
Downloaded the Free TomTom Camera Database and upgraded to v 5.420 and I have 0.98Gb left on mine.

To be honest, I wished it had shipped with v5.2?? on it as I fancied using the POI Capture software!? Sad But as it was at 5.410 I thought I may as well upgrade it.
Haven't found much difference to be honest!!

You mean you've archived all the speed camera downloads?!!! Each month is a complete copy in itself.

Throw away all the older copies and keep the current one!!

Hi.
Every month when I update speed cameras I copy over the necessary ov2 and bmp files in to the western map in my directory. I presumed it just updated to the new ones. Otherwise surely I would have copies of previous updates?
Surely on each update we don't have to search through what is already downloaded.?
I can go back and check them in the WM Directory

Hi.
Just found the problem. When I backed up my ttg 700 it accidently got saved into my ttg 700 hard drive.
Sorry everyone. At least I now know to pay more attention to my ttg 700 than watching the footie.
It's now back to 1.44gb.
cheers
