Hi
I have just purchased this unit with software version 5.410, is this the current version?
Please can anyone answer the following:
Is it pos to use a larger memory card and copy all the files over so that you can add extra maps to the same card?
Is there any software available that will show OS National Grid Refs.?
Thanks |

No. The latest software is 5.420.
Yes.
Not that I'm aware of.
NOTE: Before you alter/add anything, do a FULL BACKUP of the SD Card. Just in case. _________________ Richard

Thanks for that, please can you post me a link for the new software release as I cn not find it on the Tom Tom website?
How do I copy the software to another card, do I simply just copy to hard disk then back to the new card?
Are there any hidden files and where is the best place to get a larger card from and what type.
Many thanks again for your help. |

Hi
Many thanks for that, now all I need to know is how to create everything onto a larger card and where to get one.
Thanks again for your help.
By the way how do you rate the unit? |

Hi Mate - im not sure about ur other request. Have no idea where u can get a card from, or more importantly how u can copy it over. I havent done so as yet - and im unlikely as im always worried of messing things up!
I love the unit myself - i dont do many miles, but i love the thought of finding an address or location with so much ease!! Its my new toy!
I used to be a Coach Driver, and its very nerve racking when you are going to a destination with 53 passengers on board worrying that you may get lost and not get them there ontime!! So this would have been ideal back then.
But now - i still love it and think its the best since sliced bread. Now i have the safety cameras loaded into it as well which i got as a free promotion from Tom Tom Website itself then its even more use as my Snooper S5 only picks up Gatsos so now i know where all fixed ones are. (well until they put more up that is) |

Bigger SD cards are available from most of the advertisers on this site. Also from places like Tesco. I got mine from www,mymemory.co.uk
Make sure you get an SD card and not an MMC which looks the same and fits in the slot, but has one less contact.
I copy via the hard disk, as you suggested. Just make sure the copying has finished before you disconnect. _________________ TTGO 700 (dead)
