Tomtom hardwire kit questions...

I'm looking at building my own hardwire kit for my tomtom, using the existing base and car charger.

I've read the english bits of the paper hacking manual, mainly the pinout's.

What I want to know from the good people here is...

When the stereo mutes for the tomtom to give you voice prompts, does the voice come out of the stereo or still just the tomtom?

If it comes out of the stereo speakers, how did people wire in the "official" hard wire kit to the rest of the sound system?
