What date are the maps with the V5 upgrade?

I have installed the V5 upgrade and also the update to v5.2 from the website. I used the system to travel on a route I know well just to check it was all working.

There has been a new bypass opened that has been there about a year to 18 months but it didn't appear as I drove onto it. (The A10 bypass north of Ware in Herts.)

How up to date are the maps?

It varies according to when TeleAtlas becomes aware of a new road.

Some roads don't get through to the finished product for 3 years, others, such as the Baldock Bypass, were there before the road was completed.

We can only assume that some departments inform TA at different stages, and some are left for TA to find out for themselves.

All in all it's a bit hit and miss.

Thanks, I shall look out for the Baldock bypass as that is on my daily commute. It isn't due to open for another 3/4 months so that is surprising that it is included.
