Tom Tom 2 with Compaq?

After many days of trying to get the Compaq iNS ( Navman 3000) to work with TT2 on a 3870 I have just been told that this is impossible due to incompatibility! I really cannot believe this as it is listed in the GPS Status menu and has the pre defined serial drivers installed, can anyone help with thsi at all before I throw the whole lot against the wall or go back to the lovely CoPilot 3?!

Usually with the Navman 3000 sleeve you can grab the Navman serial driver and this will rectify the problem, however I believe the iNS sleeve is slightly different. From what I recall from previous posts here in the forums, you need to uninstall TomTom Navigator 2, re-install CoPilot and make sure it's working and you have a fix, then re-install TomTom Navigator 2 and it will work.



You might be short on space depending on the size of your storage card, if you are, check the CoPilot directory and see if there are any 20mb+ files in there, if so delete these. That should get you up and running.
