hi there to all, :D
i am a new user here and im faced with a couple of questions , basically i am on the verge of getting some sort of satnav for the car i have a road angel 2 at present. but i want the full sat nav etc, i also have a garmin gps12 lying around and ive ordered a cable to connect it to my p.c.

right getting there now so any idea's on how i could use this garmin to a: either download new software for the gps 12( if possible) any good sites for info appreciated.!!
or would i use the gps 12 to connect to a laptop and run some sort of software that will recognise the gps 12 and use it for the tracking where you are etc and where your going.?

so gents any help or advice would be really appreciated.
or should i just go buy a pda with sat nav. and camera locations etc, and sell the road angel 2.?
decisions decisions.? egh?
HELP?

Beside the data cable, you will need a serial to USB converter (Unless laptop is several years ole.

DeLorme "Street Atlas" will work with the 12 tracking your movements on it's moving map.

Mapping programs such as OziExplorer will also connect with the 12 to track your travels.
