hi mystery:
thanks for ur tip.

i will try that.

anyway i was setting warning distances and i found unlike in destinator i can set only one distance. in destinator u can set two distances for each poi. eg; at 300 and 600 yards.
is it not possible with tt5? so u can get two reminders?

I have created duplicate files and named them Cams1 Cams2 etc and that way am able to have as many warnings as I want. I also only use 2 sets. 1 for gatso/Temp etc and one for redlight cams. I do not need to see them as different types Laughing Out Loud a warning is all I am after.
I also have them set to 'Show when near' so the map is not cluttered

hi
my field trial with acer with tt5 worked fine. except when it showed me in a field (when i was on A route) it worked fine. :D
unlike destinator it doesnot say u turn or recalculting the route when i miss a turn etc... 8)
roundabouts are brilliant so far ( unlike in destinator which was a nightmare Evil or Very Mad )
i was puzzeled by to left in roundabouts because exits are to left anyway in roundabouts i thought Exclamation

i adjusted the memory allocation in acer and it worked fine... Smile

Since purchasing an external GPS receiver, the signal issue has been resolved. A worthwhile investment IMO.

:D :D

i am happy.
the acer n35 and tt5 combo worked fine. Thumbs Up
i used it yesterday early morning when it was foggy and icey and in the evening when raining cats and dogs from Newport to dorset and back.

i usually do rac route planner as well before. for the first time i found this tt5 can give better route calc than rac planner 8)

there was no way without i could found roads in that damn rain.
tt5 graphics excellent. Happy

also the map replaced by next direction when over certain speed is coooool 8)

roundabouts layout is really brilliant (unlike in destinator!! Burn In Hell )

however i miss the destinator speed warning set up where ur reminded of the speed limit ( u r over the speed limit!) Crying or Very sad

i did finally set up the gps baud rate at its highest. then the cursor moves fine witht the car.

oh finally tt5 thoght my home down the road and asked me to turn if possible when i was nearly in front of my house Question Surprised

overall Thumbs Up Love it
