TT / GPS Just Stopped Working :o(

Hi

Needed to use my gps today for the first time in 3 weeks (on holiday!) and upon opening TomTom message box appeared stating 'Cannot open COM1: Port does not exist' and it wont connect to the gps (wired as changed over from the Fortuna) but it keeps appearing even when launching TT without any gps connected. Tried a soft resit and also a hard reset to no avail...this really has me scrating my head...any ideas?

Oh and as far as I know I havent changed any settings on the PDA
