TomTom upgrade policy

TomTom have emailed me to say that their €59 upgrade offer on TTN5 finishes on 1 November. If I miss this offer, based on past experience, will there be another at this level? Will an upgrade to TTN6(?) be offered at a reduced price to TTN3 owners, or do TT only make this kind of offer when upgrading from the 'previous' version?

Are you sure that the cost of two upgrades (v3-v5 + v5-v6)will not be as much as the full price for the next version.

Not sure if anyone is aware of this, but it is possible to upgrade all previous versions of TomTom, even if they have already been upgraded.

OK may not be above board, but I've upgraded my V2 & V3 and recieved two V5 Upgrades, even though I have already upgraded my V2 when the V3 was released.

Until TT start to looking after their customers a little better, by replying to support logs and attempting to fix/reslove known bugs I have no problems with the above..... best of luck....

I'm also thinking about upgrading before nov 1st - does anyone know if the upgrade has to be applied to the same pda as the old version is on?

It's not the PDA that's being upgraded only the map data, so as long as you have a Product Code for the old map you will have no trouble getting an upgrade.

thanks for the reply Richard - so the upgrade will simply allow me to do a new install on my new pda ? - seems too easy! - anyway will give it a try.

Tried to upgrade version 3 and was advised it was already upgraded and could not proceed.
